Pine Root Pottery has been our home and studio since 1998.  Nestled into the western slope of Roan Mountain, our property lies at the end of a road and encompasses 42 acres.

We fell in love with the charming chestnut farmhouse, the mountain views, the two streams, and the apple orchard.  Even an old barn showed great potential for the pottery studio.

In the years since we have settled here, we’ve built a wood fire kiln, slowly worked on the studio and gallery, and added a few flower gardens.  Pine Root is a continual work-in-progress.
